LOMA is a bistro and bar at Albert I-promenade 53, a collaboration between Kevin Beirens, Jurgen Nobels and Tokke Brys. Its website presents it as a new concept on the seafront with a raw, urban character, where the mood runs from a relaxed lunch to a livelier evening. Service is host-led rather than formal, and the photographs show dark wood panelling, shelves of wine and low light.
The menu is in Dutch and mixes small and sharing plates with a short list of mains. Starters include grilled squid, cauliflower pakora, a lobster roll, house-made North Sea fish charcuterie, kibbeling, shrimp croquettes and oysters, served plain or with cider and Granny Smith apple. Mains range from steak au poivre and a vol-au-vent of Mechelen chicken to monkfish and sole, plus a celeriac “steak” for vegetarians, several of them served with fresh chips and salad. When checked in October 2026, starters cost €14 to €24 and mains €26 to €34, with the sole at the day’s price. The bar mixes cocktails to go with the food.
On the winter 2026 schedule LOMA opens Monday and Thursday from 5pm to 11pm, Friday and Saturday from noon to 11pm and Sunday from noon to 9pm, and is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tables are booked online, and the hours may change with the season.
LOMA took part in the 2026 edition of Ostendaise: North Sea Food Fest, the free summer food festival on the Zeeheldenplein, with its festival dish, Noordzeevis Roll.
