O Holly Night: A Christmas Concert in Ostend

O Holly Night is a Christmas concert built around the tenor Andrei Lugovski and the singer Maartje Van Neygen, held in the Sint-Jan-Baptistkerk, a parish church just south of Ostend’s centre. The draw is festive classics and carols in the resonant acoustic of a church, on the Saturday afternoon a fortnight before Christmas.

The concert runs from 16:00 to about 18:30 on 12 December 2026. It is a ticketed event — admission is €25 — and seats are booked in advance through the organisers rather than bought at the door. It is a separate concert from the Barbara Dex Christmas show in the city centre the same evening, which we list on its own.

The church stands on the Elisabethlaan, a little way from the seafront and the station, so allow time to get there if you are staying on the promenade. As with most Ostend Christmas concerts, the singing is largely in Dutch, though carols travel well in any language.
