Chalet Minigolf (Leopold Park)

Right in the middle of Leopold Park, a few minutes’ walk from the shopping streets and the beach, this is Ostend’s classic minigolf. The course has 21 holes, laid out among ponds, rocks and little waterfalls, and the setting under the old trees of the park makes it far more pleasant than the usual concrete course.

Next to the course is a large playground for children up to about ten, and the chalet itself is a brasserie and tearoom with a terrace, so parents can sit with a coffee while the children play.

It is open every day and affordable, which makes it an easy win on a day when the beach is too windy. Note that the last round starts an hour and a half before closing. Afterwards, walk round the park to see the flower clock and the bandstand.
