Les Cabanes d'Ostende

Les Cabanes d’Ostende is a cluster of nine tiny-house cabins on a car-free plot of about 8,000 m² in Mariakerke, next to Park Nieuwe Koers and the green belt that runs around Ostend. Each cabin sleeps two adults and up to four children, and the place is meant for couples and families rather than groups of friends.

Each cabin has a living room with a wood stove, a full kitchen and a main bedroom with a two-metre-wide bed, plus one or two small rooms that become bunk rooms for children. Guests share a wellness island with a barrel sauna, booked in slots, and an unheated natural swimming pond, and some cabins have a private hot tub.

Every cabin comes with an electric cargo bike and two ordinary bikes, and in summer guests can use the site’s own beach cabin. The beach and the Duinenkerkje tram stop are roughly 600 m away, and a bus to the station stops at the entrance. Check-in is self-service, street parking is free, and dogs are welcome for a daily fee.
