Ketnet Junior is the Flemish public broadcaster’s TV channel for young children, and this interactive exhibition brings its world to life inside the brick walls of Fort Napoleon. It is made for children aged 3 to 6: they can step into life-size sets of Tik Tak, dance on a disco floor and explore Timbalo’s village with presenter Sarah.
Until 8 November 2026 the exhibition has a Halloween theme. Visits are in timed slots with limited places, so book ahead, especially at weekends and in the school holidays. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and the Museumpas is not valid.
The fort stands in the dunes on the east bank of the harbour, with free parking; from the centre, take the free ferry from the Visserskaai and walk about fifteen minutes. The lower level is unheated, so dress warmly in winter, and the fort’s brasserie is handy for a break. Closed on Mondays except in the school holidays.
Accessibility
Fully wheelchair and pushchair accessible except the roof and caponiers (stairs); lift between floors; entrance on a slight slope; car park 100 m from the entrance. Assistance dogs only.
