About this event

Every Sunday morning the Wapenplein, the main square in Ostend’s old town, turns into a flower market, with stalls of cut flowers, bouquets and ornamental plants. It is a lovely, low-key way to start a Sunday in town, and the cafés around the square are perfect for a coffee afterwards.

The market runs from 06:00 to 13:00; from 1 October until the Easter holidays it starts at 07:00. It is also held on public holidays that do not fall on a Thursday or Saturday, the days of the regular market. On Valentine’s Day and Christmas Eve there is an extra flower market from 07:00 to 13:00.

There is no market on 25 December or 1 January. The market is organised by the City of Ostend and free to browse.

Details can change at short notice. Please check with the organiser before you travel.
