About this event

For three days at the end of January 2027, Ostend hosts the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships, the 78th edition of the event. The city staged the Worlds once before, in 2021, but behind closed doors; this time spectators can line the course.

Start and finish are at the Wellington racecourse. Riders cross the Koningin Astridlaan on a bridge to the beach, race along the high-water line past the Royal Galleries and return over a second bridge with a long flight of stairs: a tough, sandy course that suits Belgium’s cyclo-cross tradition.

Friday 29 January is for official training and the Team Relay (12:35). On Saturday the junior women, under-23 men and elite women race; on Sunday the junior men, under-23 women and finally the elite men, at 15:10. Advance tickets start at €6 for Friday, €24 for Saturday and €39 for Sunday, with higher prices on the day; children up to 12 go free on Friday and Saturday, but need a free ticket ordered online.

Details can change at short notice. Please check with the organiser before you travel.
