About this event

Film Festival Oostende (FFO) is one of Belgium’s largest film festivals and the big moment for Flemish cinema. The next edition runs for nine days, from 15 to 23 January 2027, with screenings at Kinepolis Oostende, the Kursaal and De Grote Post.

The festival hosts the Ensors, the Flemish film and television awards named after Ostend’s famous painter, and the Jamies for online video. New talent gets a star on the festival’s Walk of Fame on the Zeedijk.

The full programme and ticket sales start in December. Tickets have cost €10 to €12 per screening, with reduced rates for under-26s and over-65s, and a festival pass for unlimited films is sold during the festival. Seats are unnumbered and doors open 30 minutes before each film. All festival locations are wheelchair accessible, and some films have audio description.

Accessibility

All festival locations wheelchair accessible; screenings with audio description for blind and visually impaired visitors.
