About this event

Ostendaise is a food festival built around the North Sea. Local Ostend chefs, selected with Gault&Millau, cook small plates with North Sea fish and fresh local produce, served on the Zeeheldenplein with a view of the sea. The 2027 edition takes place on Saturday 26 June (11:00–21:00) and Sunday 27 June (11:00–19:00).

Besides the seafood there is a wine bar, oysters and champagne, vegetarian and vegan dishes, coffee, desserts and a mocktail bar. Entry is free; in 2026 a plate cost €8 or €10. The festival uses reusable plates and glasses with a deposit and a payment card, so bring your own cutlery or buy a reusable set.

It is an easy walk from the station and the centre, and extra bike parking is set up nearby. The 2027 line-up of restaurants has not been announced yet.
