Bowlingpaleis Oostende

Bowlingpaleis in Stene, on the south side of Ostend, is a one-stop answer to a wet afternoon with children. It combines a sixteen-lane bowling alley, an indoor playground and an indoor minigolf course under one roof, with a large car park outside.

The lanes have automatic bumpers, so even small children can knock down some pins, and on Friday and Saturday evenings the lights go down for glow-in-the-dark disco bowling. Fluogolf is an 18-hole black-light minigolf course. The indoor playground, for children aged 2 to 12, has two giant trampolines, soft play with slides, a ball pit and a separate baby area; adults and babies go in free.

The playground opens on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and every day in the school holidays. Bowling is open from Wednesday to Sunday, with later hours at the weekend. It is a few kilometres south of the centre, so it is easiest to reach by car.
