Polé Polé Beach is a seasonal beach bar built on the sand at Albert I-promenade 43, near the Vlaanderenstraat and a few steps from the Langestraat. It comes from the Ghent-based team behind the Polé Polé festival, and the summer of 2026 was its tenth on Ostend’s beach.
The look is pure holiday: palm trees, a wooden entrance arch, festoon lights and timber bar shacks, with tables on the boardwalk and in the sand looking out to sea. The Polé Polé cocktails run from classics to summery specials, and the kitchen keeps to the seaside, with mussels, gambas and shrimp croquettes plus tapas. Reservations are not taken; it is first come, first served.
In 2026 it opened on 14 May and ran until the end of summer (its own sites give 31 August and 5 September as the closing date), daily from 11:00 until midnight, weather permitting. Outside the season it is not there at all, so treat it as a summer-only stop for a sunset cocktail with your feet in the sand.
