LILY

LILY is a lifestyle concept store on Hertstraat in the centre of Ostend, a short walk from both the main shopping streets and the seafront. It opened here in 2012 as the coastal sister of a LILY boutique in Mechelen and moved into bigger premises in 2017, adding home decoration and gifts to its clothing.

Inside you will find women’s fashion, handbags, jewellery, shoes and scarves next to candles, cushions and plaids, vases, lighting, tableware, stationery, cookbooks and small gifts. Most labels are European; the shop stocks names such as HKliving, Serax, &Klevering, Anna + Nina, O My Bag, Bellerose and Sessun. The range is refreshed often, so it works best for browsing rather than for hunting down one particular item.

A real plus for visitors: LILY opens every day of the year except 25 December and 1 January, including Sunday and public-holiday afternoons. On weekdays it closes briefly at lunchtime outside the school holidays. It also runs a webshop with free pick-up in the shop and sells gift vouchers. Pick it for a present to take home, or for something stylish for your own table.
