Ferm Homme

Ferm Homme is the menswear half of Ferm, a Scandinavian-inspired concept store that started on the Vlaanderenstraat in 2014 and opened this men-only shop in 2017. It sits on the Sint-Paulusstraat, a side street off the Kapellestraat, in a long room of whitewashed brick, timber beams and big plants.

The stock balances streetwear and casual smart: Selected Homme, Les Deux, Minimum, Casual Friday and Anerkjendt are among the brands it names, with new pieces arriving weekly, plus accessories. There is a bar inside, so you can have a locally roasted coffee or a beer while you browse, and in the summer months the shop opens its rooftop bar, which it describes as one of the few in Ostend. Ferm can also print a T-shirt or hoodie with your own text.

A good stop for relaxed Nordic basics and a drink in one go. It is open every day except Tuesday, from 13:00 on Sundays. Its sister shop for women, Ferm Femme, is on the Vlaanderenstraat.
