Tealicious

Tealicious is a tea and coffee specialist on Hendrik Serruyslaan in the centre of Ostend, run by Isabelle, a qualified tea sommelier. The shop stocks more than 130 teas and infusions, almost all of them loose: white, green, black and oolong tea, rooibos, fruit and herbal infusions, chai blends, iced tea and matcha. Most are sold by weight and weighed and packed in the shop, which keeps them fresh and cuts down on packaging.

There are also more than 40 coffees, nearly all Arabica, roasted by a small West Flemish master roaster, and the shop will grind your beans to suit your machine; you are welcome to taste before you buy. Add teapots, cast-iron pots, mugs, thermos flasks and iced-tea carafes, plus sweet treats and ready-made gift boxes. Pick it for a gift or souvenir that is light to carry home and will actually get used.

Tealicious also runs tea workshops and sells online. It opens Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 18:00, and on Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00; it is closed on Sunday. In December the shop opens seven days a week, from 14:00 on Sundays.
